Overview
Codex-X is a cross-platform desktop tool for OpenAI Codex desktop and Codex CLI. It brings prompt template injection, third-party API provider switching, local session sync and cleanup, Skills and MCP management, config.toml and auth.json viewing, and token usage stats into one visual interface, reducing manual config file edits. It supports prompt categories, Markdown import, one-click enable or disable, and automatic backups before important writes.
