Overview

MemPalace is a local-first AI memory system that stores conversation history as verbatim text and retrieves it via semantic search, without summarizing or paraphrasing. Its index is structured into wings, rooms, and drawers so searches can be scoped. The retrieval backend is pluggable, defaulting to ChromaDB with options like Milvus, Qdrant, and pgvector. Data stays on your machine unless you opt in, and it reports 96.6% R@5 raw on LongMemEval.
